The Stardusters Big Band is a theme band and our theme is the great music from the 1930s, ‘40s and 50s’ when the famous bands of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey and so many others played tunes you could listen, sing and dance to in the theaters, ballrooms and concert halls across America.
The Stardusters Big Band, now in our 18th year, is available for dances, parties or concerts in the Charlotte Metro and surrounding cities areas. We can tailor our performance to your requirements. For booking information call Ken Todd, the business manager, at (704) 868-4597 or use the "contact us button".
The StarDusters Meet the Navy Band Commodores!
Your StarDusters were invited to meet the Commodores in a recent concert. As you can see by the next photo album we were invited to join them on stage after the concert. It was a thrill to meet with the the Navy's premier jazz band now in their 49th year of performing. Look them up on facebook, like their page and see many of their concerts on Facebook live. You may not know that the StarDusters have a strong veteran base of performers. Bill Todd in a retired Navy Pilot Commander and Les Dix was in the Navy Band and Air Force Band. Les made some new and old connections visiting with the Commodores.
Our thanks to The Navy Band Commodores for their hospitality.
The StarDusters were thrilled to perform for the "Charlotte Concerts Gala" at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte.
The party theme was "Stardust and Stetsons" so we quickly learned some western swing music to add to our repertoire. The band was extremely well received as the attendees danced the night away.
